LEGAL, PRIVACY & PRACTICE POLICIES

Last Updated: August 31, 2026

Lawson Women’s Wellness is committed to providing clear, ethical, and transparent information about this website and therapy services.

The information below explains important policies related to privacy, use of this website, telehealth, fees and insurance, Good Faith Estimates, emergencies, accessibility, and other aspects of interacting with Lawson Women’s Wellness online.

PRIVACY POLICY

Information You Choose to Provide

When you contact Lawson Women’s Wellness through this website, you may choose to provide information such as your name, email address, phone number, and a brief message.

Please avoid including detailed medical, mental health, or other sensitive information in a general website contact form or standard email.

If you become a client, you will receive information about the appropriate methods for communicating clinical and protected health information.

Information Collected Automatically

Like most websites, this site may automatically collect limited technical information when you visit, such as your browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring website, approximate geographic region, and general information about how visitors interact with the site.

Cookies or similar technologies may also be used for website functionality and, depending on the site’s configuration, analytics.

How Information May Be Used

Information collected through this website may be used to respond to inquiries and consultation requests, provide information about therapy services, facilitate the process of getting started with services, operate and maintain the website, understand general website traffic and usage, improve website functionality and accessibility, maintain website security, and comply with applicable legal and professional requirements.

Lawson Women’s Wellness does not sell your personal information.

Third-Party Services

Lawson Women’s Wellness may use or link to third-party services for functions such as website hosting, scheduling, insurance verification and billing, payment processing, analytics, or communication.

These services have their own privacy policies, terms, and security practices.

Lawson Women’s Wellness currently partners with Headway for insurance billing and related administrative services. Information you provide directly to Headway is subject to Headway’s own privacy practices and terms.

Cookies

This website may use cookies and similar technologies to support website functionality and understand general website usage.

Most browsers allow you to control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect how portions of the website function.

Website Security

Reasonable efforts are made to protect information transmitted through this website. However, no website, email system, or electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely private or secure.

Please do not use the website, email, or general contact forms to communicate emergency information.

HIPAA & PROTECTED HEALTH INFORMATION

This website Privacy Policy explains how information associated with use of this website may be collected and handled.

It is not intended to replace Lawson Women’s Wellness’s Notice of Privacy Practices, which describes how protected health information may be used and disclosed in connection with healthcare services and explains applicable patient privacy rights.

Individuals who become clients will receive appropriate privacy documentation as part of the intake and informed consent process.

Submitting an inquiry through this website does not, by itself, establish a therapist-client relationship.

TERMS OF USE

By accessing and using this website, you agree to use it for lawful purposes and acknowledge the terms and disclaimers described on this page.

The content of this website may be updated, modified, or removed at any time.

EDUCATIONAL & INFORMATIONAL DISCLAIMER

Information provided on this website is intended for general educational and informational purposes only.

Website content is not intended to provide individualized mental health advice, medical advice, diagnosis, assessment, treatment, or crisis intervention.

Reading information on this website should not be considered a substitute for receiving individualized care from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

NO THERAPIST-CLIENT RELATIONSHIP

Visiting this website, reading its content, following Lawson Women’s Wellness on social media, submitting a contact form, sending an email, leaving a voicemail, or participating in an initial consultation does not automatically establish a therapist-client relationship.

A formal therapist-client relationship begins only after appropriate intake procedures have been completed, both parties have agreed to work together, required informed consent and practice documentation have been completed, and professional services have formally begun.

Submitting an inquiry or requesting a consultation does not guarantee availability or acceptance as a client.

TELEHEALTH & ONLINE THERAPY

Lawson Women’s Wellness provides virtual therapy to eligible clients located in Ohio.

Because professional licensure requirements generally apply based on where the client is physically located at the time therapy is provided, clients may be asked to confirm their physical location during telehealth appointments.

Eligibility for telehealth services may depend on factors including your location, clinical needs, therapist availability, and whether virtual therapy is clinically appropriate for your circumstances.

Telehealth requires appropriate technology, internet access, and a reasonably private environment.

Although reasonable measures are used to support privacy and confidentiality, technology carries inherent risks, including interruptions, technical failures, or security limitations.

Telehealth policies and procedures will be reviewed more fully with clients during the informed consent process.

FEES & PAYMENT

Current fees for services are provided on this website and/or during the consultation and intake process.

At the time of this update, the standard fee for an individual therapy session is $175.

Fees are subject to change. Current clients will receive notice of applicable fee changes consistent with practice policies and applicable requirements.

Clients are responsible for understanding their financial obligations for services, including applicable deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, non-covered services, and other amounts not paid by insurance.

INSURANCE

Lawson Women’s Wellness works with Headway for insurance billing and related administrative services and participates with several insurance plans.

Insurance participation does not guarantee coverage under your individual plan.

Coverage may vary based on your specific policy, employer, deductible, network, diagnosis, type of service, location, and other factors determined by your insurer.

Clients are encouraged to verify their benefits before beginning treatment.

Any estimate of insurance coverage is not a guarantee of payment by your insurance company. You remain responsible for amounts determined to be your responsibility under your insurance plan and applicable practice policies.

GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE & THE NO SURPRISES ACT

You have the right to receive information about the expected cost of your healthcare.

Under the federal No Surprises Act, healthcare providers and facilities are generally required to provide individuals who are uninsured or who choose not to use insurance with a Good Faith Estimate of the expected charges for scheduled healthcare services when applicable.

A Good Faith Estimate explains the reasonably expected cost of your care based on information available when the estimate is created.

If you are eligible for a Good Faith Estimate, you may request one before scheduling services or at other applicable times.

Your Good Faith Estimate

Your Good Faith Estimate may include expected charges associated with the services reasonably anticipated as part of your care.

The actual length and frequency of therapy varies from person to person. Mental health treatment is individualized, and it may not be possible to determine in advance exactly how many sessions you will choose or need.

A Good Faith Estimate is an estimate and not a contract. It does not require you to receive a particular number of sessions or continue treatment for a particular length of time.

You may discontinue services consistent with applicable practice policies and clinical considerations.

If Your Bill Is Substantially Higher Than Your Estimate

Federal law provides a patient-provider dispute resolution process in certain circumstances when a bill from a provider is substantially higher than the Good Faith Estimate provided for that provider’s services.

Keep a copy or photograph of any Good Faith Estimate you receive.

For current information about Good Faith Estimate rights and the patient-provider dispute resolution process, visit the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ official No Surprises Act website.

A Good Faith Estimate is not a guarantee of insurance coverage or reimbursement.

CANCELLATION & SCHEDULING POLICIES

Specific scheduling, cancellation, late cancellation, and no-show policies are provided to clients during the intake and informed consent process.

Clients are responsible for reviewing and understanding those policies before beginning treatment.

Information provided on this website regarding appointment availability is general and does not guarantee a specific appointment time.

CRISIS & EMERGENCY INFORMATION

Lawson Women’s Wellness is not an emergency or crisis response service.

Website contact forms, email, voicemail, consultation requests, and other routine communication methods are not monitored continuously and should not be used for emergencies.

If you are experiencing an immediate or life-threatening emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts, emotional distress, or a mental health crisis in the United States, call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Current clients should also follow the emergency and crisis procedures provided in their informed consent and treatment documentation.

EMAIL, CONTACT FORMS & ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION

Email, text messaging, voicemail, and standard website contact forms may not provide the same privacy protections as communication systems specifically designed to transmit protected health information.

Please limit initial electronic inquiries to general information such as your interest in services, availability, consultation requests, or questions about getting started.

If you become a client, you will receive guidance about appropriate methods for clinical communication.

Electronic messages may not be reviewed immediately. Never use email, website forms, text messages, or voicemail for an emergency or situation requiring immediate assistance.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Any social media accounts associated with Lawson Women’s Wellness are intended for general educational, informational, and marketing purposes.

Following, commenting on, messaging, liking, sharing, or otherwise interacting with a social media account associated with Lawson Women’s Wellness does not establish a therapist-client relationship.

Social media should not be used to communicate confidential clinical information or seek emergency support.

For current clients, interactions with public social media accounts may also create privacy considerations. Relevant social media policies may be addressed through practice documentation or informed consent.

TESTIMONIALS & REVIEWS

Mental health professionals have special ethical responsibilities related to confidentiality, client relationships, and testimonials.

Lawson Women’s Wellness does not require clients to provide public reviews or testimonials as a condition of receiving services.

If you voluntarily choose to post information publicly about your experience with any healthcare provider, please remember that doing so may reveal information about your own healthcare that would otherwise remain private.

Lawson Women’s Wellness will not publicly confirm or disclose whether an individual is or has been a client merely because that individual posts a review or comment.

EXTERNAL RESOURCES & LINKS

This website may contain links to third-party websites, organizations, educational resources, insurance platforms, or other services.

External links are provided for convenience and informational purposes. Their inclusion does not necessarily constitute endorsement.

Lawson Women’s Wellness does not control and is not responsible for the accuracy, availability, privacy practices, security, content, or policies of third-party websites.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Unless otherwise indicated, original written content, branding, logos, graphics, photographs owned by the practice, design elements, and other original materials appearing on this website are owned by or appropriately licensed to Lawson Women’s Wellness.

These materials may not be copied, reproduced, republished, distributed, modified, or commercially used without permission except as otherwise permitted by applicable law.

WEBSITE ACCESSIBILITY

Lawson Women’s Wellness is committed to providing a website that is welcoming and accessible to as many people as reasonably possible, including individuals with disabilities.

Ongoing efforts include attention to readable typography, color contrast, clear page structure, descriptive links and buttons, alternative text for meaningful images, keyboard navigation, compatibility with commonly used assistive technologies, and responsive design across devices.

Digital accessibility is an ongoing process.

If you experience difficulty accessing any part of this website or need information provided in an alternative format, please contact Lawson Women’s Wellness. Reasonable efforts will be made to address accessibility concerns and provide access to the requested information.

ACCURACY & AVAILABILITY OF WEBSITE INFORMATION

Lawson Women’s Wellness makes reasonable efforts to keep information on this website accurate and current.

Information displayed on this website should not be interpreted as a guarantee of availability, insurance coverage, treatment eligibility, or a particular service.

Please contact Lawson Women’s Wellness directly if you need to confirm information relevant to your care.

NO GUARANTEE OF TREATMENT OUTCOMES

Therapy is an individualized process, and experiences and outcomes vary.

Lawson Women’s Wellness does not promise or guarantee that therapy will produce a particular result, outcome, or change.

Any descriptions of therapy approaches, potential benefits, or areas of support on this website are informational and should not be interpreted as guarantees.
